Tomorrow
Tomorrow I go to Zurich for about a week. I'm attending my very first musicology conference. I'm not really sure what that means, but I'm excited to learn lots of things and hope that my laptop doesn't get stolen if I leave it in my hostel room while I go out. Otherwise I might be attached at the hip to it. We'll see. Today was an okay day in Freiburg-land. I helped clean up after my choir party last night. The concert went well, the party was nice, but the things I brought were kind of weird tasting/not popular. I threw away most of the salad I'd made today and the pumpkin bread was moist but kind of funny tasting, possibly because I used olive oil instead of vegetable oil. I went to town later to get my train tickets for Zurich and going home. I bought a book about Freiburg for a future coffee table and conversations. My last trip to town included wandering around the Freiburg Weinfest that is going on, and going to the movies. I bought a ticket for the Sneak Peak movie, which means the movie is a surprise until it starts. I was hoping against all hope that it might be the new Harry Potter film, but instead they showed "Vacancy". I hadn't heard of this film before, and I was not pleased that I had just willingly gone to see a horror movie by myself. Going by myself was a deal in itself, but I like to have someone to hold on to if things get scary. The film wasn't bad overall, and since I used a gift card, it was a free movie. It was also in English, so that helped. I'm packed and ready to go for tomorrow, and I might get my Hausarbeit back tomorrow. I'm a bit nervous about it...
