Everything has been conflicting as of lately. I went from four years of being asked to do nothing major in terms of performance and getting involoved, to... this. Every corner I turn leads to something else. It started with this assistantship I got which gave me some students and a class to teach. From the assistantship I got a pit job for the Wizard of Oz... which got me the contract to another pit show this summer- Crazy for you. Then I was asked to play Bari in a quartet, which then lead to me being asked to play with them at a masterclass in a few weeks down in Southern Florida ( unfortunly we can';t do it because it conflicts with the show and another members conducting class... but its still nice to be asked!) And then all of that has recently lead to me being informed that there is a possible sponsor for a few students interested in playing in a saxophone ensemble over in poland This summer. So far we would get free room, free food, $200 spending, and just have to pay for the plane ticket. The ticket was going to be too much $$ for me at first, but if our sponsor can reduce it down to $1,000 or under ( its about $1,600 right now)... I might have a chance of coming up with the rest of the money. I am really hoping it all turns out... Id love to tour around Poland for a week and a half!
Now I just have to figure out how to schedule in the another saxophone workshop this summer in Indiana..... see if I can get into some of the band camps here as a counselor..... and keep up my donut making skills.
