So we had to postpone again... only this time it was my fault, stupid cold.
Car is totaled. I had a vm from the agent from the other insurance company, he said he had called the repair shop, but they said my car wasn't there. I had to call and tell them it's ok for him to look at the car, cause they're trying to blame me for the front end damage. The repair guy said, oh there's no doubt you were hit from behind, the rear bumper is split. I guess that's good, if the bumper split it means she hit me with enough force to move my car forward, which is exactly what happened, just need her ins company to see that.
I'm thinking of buying a brand new car. I get employee discounts from all kinds of different dealerships, so I'm in the process of getting quotes. One of the quotes I've gotten was for a Focus, it had way more options than I need/want, but it gave me a good idea just how much of a discount I can get. The retail price for the car was $19,824.00 but with the discount and the $1,500 incentive they have going it'd be $15,311.98. A $3,000 discount is not too shabby. I guess it all depends on what I'll get from the ins company.
Training is over now, I don't feel like I know near enough that I need to but oh well. I get to spend the next 3-6 weeks mentoring. For the first few weeks I just sit and listen to other reps take calls. Then I key while they talk to the customer, then switch they key I talk. And when I'm comfortable I go solo. Awesome part is, I don't work weekends until I get on the phones solo, which means I get Christams Eve and Christmas off. Woot!
