"In Negroes"
So, I've been feeling so terrible lately. I really feel like just giving up. There have been a couple of things, though, that have kept me going: my mom, a small group of absolutely awesome friends, my optimistic belif that, eventually, things will simply get better because they sure as fuck can't get any worse, and an incredibly humorous event that occured yesterday. A freshamn sang some song entitled "Nymphs and Shepards" in Opera Workshop. As is customary, when she was done, the director commenced to give her "helpful" suggestions as to help improve her singing. One particular section he helped her with began with the words "in ye groves", however whenever he sang it and asked her to sing it back to him, it sounded like he sang "in negroes". That thought alone makes even the darkest moments bright.
