Lydia Farewell Tour

Nov 22, 2010 20:17

I saw Lydia live this summer on their farewell tour. I though I'd do a post about them. Lydia is an indie band from Arizona. They sort of remind me of the bands Copeland, Mae and Deas Vail.

They had a couple bands open up for them. I had listened to one of the bands, Analog Rebellion, before, but I didn't even realize it was them until after a couple of songs because their name used to be PlayRadioPlay! I enjoyed seeing them live.

I was excited to when Lydia came on. They played songs from all their albums. I loved hearing songs from "Illuminate" like "This is Twice Now" and "All I See". They played a pretty good amount of songs from their first album, "This December; It's One More And I'm Free".

Lydia used to have six members, but there were only 3 for the farewell tour (with members leaving). I wish Mindy White was still in Lydia when I saw them live (she's now in the band States). She does the female vocals in the songs. There were a couple songs I wish they had played (like "Sleep Well" and "Stay Awake"), but the show was really good.

If you haven't heard of Lydia, check them out. I liked them before, but I'm even more in to them after seeing them live. Here are their albums:
