(no subject)
My aunt and uncle stopped this morning for a bit. Brought the rest of their kitchen cabinets for us. I'll need to go through and figure which ones I want; our neighbor wants the rest.
It was a nice visit. It always is with them. And the girls adore both of them. Emma's been waiting all week for their visit.
My mom and step dad stopped over too. Lar brought me some corn stalks and said I could grab a bale of straw tomorrow when I'm over. I guess it's not too late to put up some decorations.
Everyone checked out Jim's work on the playroom and were impressed with just how much he has managed to get done. I'm too hard on him sometimes. But, I don't have the patience for the mess.
Speaking of mess, I got most of the house cleaned today. Except for our bedroom. And of course I had to clean up around the mess from the playroom.
Jim's out running the dog and I'm gonna run into town and visit the thrift shops, hoping to find some camo for Madeline's halloween costume. Emma is going as a beagle, Maddie decided to be a hunter then, just like dad.
I think we've got a dead mouse in the dining room. Something stinks to high heavens and I can't find the source although I've narrowed it down. It's around the piano. I''ll have to move that and the bookcase tonight and see if I can find something. It gives me shivers thinking about finding something, but what would be worse is if it climbed into the piano and died. I don't want to live with that smell any longer than we have to!
Should get going. Still lots to do.
