Nothing out of the ordinary today... except that I got a 94 on my preterite/imperfect test. Boo yah!

Oh man, the violin is the bane of my life...sometimes. My mom wants me to audition for Muhlenberg's music scholarship. One problem: I'm horrible at auditioning. Horrible. 100 times over and multiply that ten fold. HORRIBLE. I can't do anything when I audition. Even easy stuff. I don't know what's wrong with me. In auditions my hands start to shake and my joints lock up so that I'm really tense and then it's hard to shift. Performing is something that I've never learned how to cope with, and I probably never will. It's one of life's painful truths. Er hem, any advice, Kathleen Haas?

I's also like to announce that my big toe is recovering after being inflamed for the last 3 days.

In English we're watching "Supersize Me". It's a pretty sick movie... and really makes you think about your food choices the next time you stop in at McDonalds. Personally, I don't think I will ever be the same. Actually, it would be really ironic if Kathleen and I started waving banners around in school advocating our school lunches to be complete with fruits and vegetables rather than the greasy pizza, which I am oh so fond of. Maybe it wouldn't be a bad idea. We could even be named after fruits and vegetables too.
No, but seriously, this movie has made me think a lot more about what i eat. I figure this much: i eat fast food at least 2 times a week (since my parents have gone on strike to cook anymore) and I buy lunch once a week. I know this does not even rival the McDonald's diet that the guy is on, but still, I never get any real good food anyways. But it's not like I need to lose weight either.... my BMI is 20... which is actually leaning towards the "underweight" category. Enough B.S., here's the real question: does being thin and having a ridiculously fast metabolism give us the right to drink all the soda and eat all the McDonalds we want? Probably not. How ironic.
