An Update

It has been months since my last entry. So I know that I am the only one that reads this stuff but I am going to bring things up to date. I finally have found work, after months of drudging around waiting to find the right job. Although I did work at KSER for a while as a volunteer and that, I have to say, was wonderful and I am hoping to get back there soon to get the exposure that I need for radio. Now about a month ago I was looking in the Seattle Weekly for a job and I saw this one ad stating "earn from $130-$170 per day" well being out of work as long as I was there really was no reason to think about it. So I called King and arranged a meeting with him and next think I know I am at the IDX building in Seattle working my first book fair. At first it was easy I just put the books out and rang up the orders, cake work right. Well that was before I had to work my first fair alone, this is the most back breaking work I have done in my life. The only good part is when I am finished unloading all the books and I can just sit and sell books. Now if it is a 1 day fair (which I hate) the I have to set up and tear down on the same fuckin day. The 2 day fairs are better because I can just leave the stuff behind coverd in shrouds and finish the fair the next day. But with all the hard work I have to endure I get good pay, $130 per day if I am under $2200 if I go over then I get 6%, during the 2nd season I get 7% so if things work to my advantage I will be bringing home some sweet cash, for now I have to keep my eyes on paying the rent and somehow getting my car out of the shop
