Unconditional and irrevocable love.

Is it really possible to have that? At least in real life?
To have someone love you for eternity? It's a nice thought isn't it? Although eternity IS quite a long time.....

I wonder, can a relationship truly hold that much love and adoration? Where every moment spent together isn't just a moment, but a step towards something greater?

In a fast pace society like ours, it's hard to stop and appreciate the things around us; especially the people. People always say "romance is dead." Maybe it is, or maybe, just maybe we don't see the same things as romantic anymore.

It's no wonder we're always watching romantic movies and reading touching love story books.

Perhaps it's the only vice we have to fulfill that innate need to feel loved and important. I mean of course that we don't run around thinking we're characters from books, cuz those people are a whole 'nother story. =/ What I mean is I guess secretly we want to relate or we feel like we relate to those characters.

For every girl who has ever wanted to find the perfect guy and always looked in the wrong places, do we not feel like we can relate to the main character? When she spends her nights sitting at home wishing she could find her special someone, don't we feel for her ,and reflect upon our own lives? And for every guy that has admired a girl from afar, do you not wish that she will realize all the wonderful things you've done for her and she will fall madly in love with you?

Lies, lack of communication, sex, money, and drugs. All factors in the downfall of most relationships. Unconditional love? I think not.

In perfect honesty, I too want to live happily ever after, but is that really such a realistic ideal anymore? Times have changed. And romance may truly be dead.
