Prompt: Doctor Who, Shaun(/Donna), the inconsistencies of his wife
Fill:

Shaun Temple knew people talked, behind her back and to his face. He considered himself a normal sort of bloke with a sharp mind and a kind heart. Shaun loved his wife. It was just that Donna, well, she wasn’t exactly normal - at least, not since the worldwide amnesia incident.

She told him after that she had remembered something, something impossible and brilliant. Shaun nodded and smiled, and keeps smiling whenever Donna looks at a brand new show on telly and swears it’s a re-run, or when she builds devices that shouldn’t exist according to the online searches he’s done and the science magazines he’s read.

He took one of her gadgets to Martin once, hoping that he’d figure it out, being a mechanic with a bachelor in engineering. Martin had said he should show it to the guys at UKSA or just buy a new video recorder and forget all about it.

And as long as Donna stays healthy and continues to boss everyone around, Shaun knows it’s alright. But sometimes he does wonder about the inconsistencies of his wife.

Theme: Neglected charachters
Prompt: Heroes, Lydia, the tattoos are more than skin-deep
Fill:

She can feel the ink shift during the night, drifting up her spine and swirling around her shoulder blades, breaking apart and re-forming into new patterns. She doesn’t move a muscle, stays relaxed and focused on her breathing.

It doesn’t hurt if she doesn’t tense up. She used to fight it, before she knew how deep this ability of hers ran, how rooted it was in her body.

The tattoos are as much a part of her now as her arm, her heart. She just lets them be, lets them do what they need. When they settle into their new shape she can rest easy again. Until the next night, at least.
