This long week of mine; it doesn't seem as if it's ending.
It's just melting into next week.
This is technically one of my only points of downtime.
But it should be spent fixing my resume.
I met some people from House of Blues and MTV this week looking for interns. They asked that I sent my resume and all that, but I now realize that all of my previously "customized" resumes have been customized toward on-campus jobs or the application to the music school, etc. . . this puppy needs to be revamped.
Speaking of melting, let's talk about boys for just a second.
When me and my friends oogle at cute boys, be they musicians, musician-looking, indie, clean punks, emo, or what have you, we always think about how cool they are. How cool all their girl friends and girlfriends must be. "I wanna be his friend!!" we always say.
And of course Robbie tells me I'll probably be making friends with all kinds of those cool guys at KSCR stuff, Ground Zero stuff, etc, even at a capella and theatre too.
And I gotta say, some of these radio station boys are quite handsome.
Last night I was interning/tabling at an event and was glad to get to meet other interns, DJs and DJ/musical directors. MMMhmm.
One was just super smiley. and had a dimple.
We were making fun of the way he was aching to get into the mosh pit but it kept dying when he went in. Twas fun and he was way witty.
And then a littttttttle 4yearold girl walks by with her dad and waves to him with a smile. And he's like, "I just LOVE little Latino children! They're just so cute!" and I comment about how amused I am that it's Latino children in particular he loves.
And he begins "Well, yeah! When I was volunteering in Mexico the best and most fulfilling part about the whole trip was all of the little kids." !
and so I ask what he did while volunteering: "We were building houses and schools" !!
and so I ask if it was through school or something else: "Actually it was a group called Faith Ministry." !!!
Damn.
Yay boys.
(He no longer exists.)
So around 7 I shall be heading over to Ground Zero to check out a band.
but the rest of my day I spent with my friend Kate, who tore her ACL over break. I took her to the Health Sciences Campus to see her doc. Otherwise she woulda been taking the tram and walking up and down hills with her knee brace and crutches from the tram stop to the hospital.
And tomorrow off to see some friends from home at their competition at Long Beach.
I don't get to see THEM compete, though. They're up at 9:30pm.
And I have to be up EARLY (and thanks to the end of daylight savings, even EARLIER) for a mandatory field trip to see the asscrack of the earth. Also known as the San Andreas Fault.
So much going on.
And homework is fading to be a priority.
But there's so much better things to do.
Watch the musical, Company.
Watch a play, After Juliet.
Watch some more a capella.
Write entries in my livejournal about absolutely useless crap. . . . .
Yeah.
