oo8; can't get enough

Oct 17, 2009 02:14

Bonjour, mes amis ! My darling Helen gave me posting access here long ago and I'd like to use it to share some tunes I've really been getting into! It's possible you could enjoy them!

+ all songs in mp3 format
+ uploaded through mediafire
+ lyrics/notes from me provided
+ let me know if the links don't work!

-----
Take It Home ~ The White Tie Affair
Genre: pop, upbeat

Take it home, take it home
'Cause I've been waitin' all night for you
And this is what I'm gonna do
Ice, ice, melt your heart
Baby girl, the time you've got
Rush, rush, for that touch
Just one taste can't get enough

I don't really know how I stumbled across this song, though at the moment I'm willing to bet it was a random iTunes find. It's so catchy and addictive, I find myself blasting it through the car radio as I dance - or flail - and humming it throughout the day. Definitely a fun and upbeat pop song!

-----
Haven't Met You Yet ~ Michael Bublé
Genre: pop, smooth

I tried so very hard not to loose it
I came up with a million excuses
I thought I thought of every possibility
And I know someday that it'll all work out
You'll make me work so we can work to work it out
And I promise you, kid, that I'll give so much more than I get
I just haven't met you yet

I'm a HUGE Michael fan! Obviously I was excited for his new album to come out and I'm definitely impressed. This song is really - how else do I say it, but - cute! Especially when you see the music video. It's an optimistic take on the hunt for the right person, all in a grocery store. If you like this at all, you should buy the full album!

Viva la Vida ~ University At Buffalo Buffalo Chips (BOCA)
Genre: pop, a cappella

I hear Jerusalem bells are ringing
Roman Cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field
For some reason, I can't explain
Once you go, there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

Some of you may have heard of Glee. I, myself, am a fan. Anything for promotion of choral groups or broadway! As this show came out, I had a random urge for some choral music and I often find the absolute best through BOCA searches. BOCA is Best of College a Cappella, so I tend to be thoroughly impressed and inspired.

-----
My Immortal [Untitled Track] ~ Evanescence
Genre: rock, touch of emo and alternative

These wounds won't seem to heal
This pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase
When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have
All of me

I have such diverse music taste! When it comes to Evanescence, I love their music in part because of Amy's voice. It's got so much control and it's just beautiful. Every song is a captivating story, and I find many of their songs go great with self-made music videos.

If I decide to do this again, I may provide artwork, as well! ;)
