Well, another busy week is behind me. I've spent the weekend thus far practicing and catching up and cleaning stuff here and there. I have five days until my audition now; my lower lip is giving out so I decided to take it easy until tomorrow. I have decided what to wear and how to set up my camera at least too. ^_^ I wish I had more time to practice, but I guess if I'm not ready now I never will be.
I also got to thinking, if I eventually do move to New Orleans, I should wait until at least 2014, when all the new health care laws go into effect.
Anyway. Our first week of rehearsing for The Sound of Music is over too. It's going well so far; I'm playing second clarinet on four songs (and second flute for the rest of it). I'm really glad Mr. Whittgraf is there playing clarinet too, so he can give me tips on my playing. He said I have a very nice tone, so that's good. He also thought my tattoo was really cool. :D
Oh, and I ended up renting a new Jupiter alto sax from Al Asmus band instruments for the audition; my Bundy one is a piece of crap, but he said he'd give me a good trade in value for it if I decide to do that if I pass the audition. Anyway I don't have time to make another trip to Marshall (sorry Lon! :P). I really like the Jupiter saxes though; they respond really nicely.
So, that's where I'm at right now. I hope this week goes well.
