This made me laugh. So, last night Mark sent out an email from Adam, the new band director. Included in the holiday note was this gem:
I have tremendously enjoyed working with each of you thus far! I
appreciate the spirit and enthusiasm exhibited by the St. Cloud
Municipal Band. You are a model for how all community bands ought to
operate! (emphasis mine)
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAWHAT??? Really? REALLY??? Hahahaha.
Ahem. Yes. Oh dear, I don't think Adam knows what he's in for.
Last night was the holiday party; I didn't go. It's weird to think I won't be going back, possibly ever. Oh well, I have bigger and better things to look forward to.
Anyway, the concert at Bethlehem went pretty well. I think I came in a measure early in a spot in the march from Amahl but it wasn't noticeable to the audience. "Farandole" was awesome.
Great Northern Theater is doing The Sound of Music this summer; I really want to do that one!!
And, my plan tomorrow after work is to go find a microphone to hook up to my computer and start recording things.
In case I don't post again for a while, Merry Christmas/Festivus/whatever!
