Monday, Monday
Well, yesterday's gig went down alright, all things considered. (Jeanie's wrist wasn't broken, just a bad sprain.) I was kind of nervous, mostly because OMG I actually have to talk!! :O but it was OK and I'm glad it's over. If I have to do something like that again I'll be better at it next time. :P Anyway I ended up pulling a few songs that I thought wouldn't sound as good without a background, and added a few different ones. It took about 40 minutes to play all of them and by that time my lips were shot. My mouth kept getting really dry too. But anyway it made my dad happy, so that's good. I stayed and watched TV with him for a while afterward.
Let's see. I have a musical coming up again, for the home school group. Last year they did the Music Man; this year it's Frog and Toad. I have to go pick up my part for that tomorrow afternoon before I go to work. I've never heard it before, but I know GREAT did it a few years ago, before I came here.
So I've been puttering around with my guitar again. Working on AC/DC songs, of course. >:) I almost want to take lessons again. Maybe it's more fun to listen to them than to play it, but it sure is fun to try. ^_^
Tonight is one of our nursing home band concerts. I really haven't been practicing my band music again lately either, so I really need to do that this afternoon. Heh.
