Entry #287

Okay, so it's been an extremely long time since I've written in here.

So, last week I finally got my car licensed and all that jazz. It didn't happen until Wednesday night, right before I left for Dallas, but it's all good anyway.

Thursday-Sunday I was in Dallas for Cluster Meeting for FCCLA. Thursday we left at 6 and drove down there and got there about 7 that night. We went to the Galleria Mall and met up with Mrs. Robertson's brother and sister-in-law, who went to dinner with us at Bennigan's, a place in the mall sort of like Applebee's. We sat "outside" (of the restaurant, still in the mall) next to the ice rink and watched people skate. One guy we were watching couldn't skate very well, and we were amused by the tiny steps he was taking, lol. Well, it was Keira's birthday, and Lindsey had told the waiter so he brought out an ice cream/brownie thing and yelled and sang Happy Birthday, and as soon as he yelled, the guy we were watching fell flat on his butt. Katie and I were the only ones that saw it, but it was the funniest thing ever, lol. Then Rick and LuAnne (Mrs. Robertson's brother and sister-in-law) drove us back to our hotel. Well, we were in this tahoo/expedition/whatever thing, and the five of us girls sat in the back w/no seats. We were sitting there talking, and all of a sudden we hear, "Keira!" coming out of Keira's purse, lol. She'd accidentally called her mom and muted her phone, lol.

Friday we went to the Galleria to shop, then went to Hard Rock Cafe to eat. We sat outside on the patio, and had more birthday dessert and song for Keira, lol. Then we went to the Sixth Floor Museum, which is where Lee Harvey Oswald shot JFK. It was really weird and an interesting experience, especially because it was the day before the 40th anniversary of his death. A bunch of kids from our group met some of the big media and stuff that were there, but none of us did. We had opening session that night with a really good speaker, Justin Lookadoo. Then Kayce, Lana, and I ordered pizza and went to bed.

Saturday we had two sessions in the morning, neither of which had as good of a speaker as the first. Then Mrs. Robertson's other sister-in-law, Monica, came and picked us all up with her daughter, Brittney. We went to the Spaghetti Warehouse (you guessed it, more dessert and singing for Keira's birthday, lol), went to the West End mall, and then went back to the Galleria. We came back and went to a session, hung out for a while, and went back for closing session. Then we all ordered pizza together, and then went to bed.

Sunday we loaded up and left Dallas around 7:30. We got back around 6:30 that night to a lot colder temperatures than the 80's we were used to while we were down there.

Today I finally got to drive my car to school, lol. Had school, including a Spanish and English test, both of which I probably sucked on. Left, dropped Michelle off at her house, came home and sat around for awhile, picked Whitney up, and went to work. Worked until 7:30, came home, did homework, took a shower, and here I am.

I need to go through and look at icons and do surveys and stuff, but I have a long weekend to do that stuff. Tomorrow is the first basketball game! Plus I'm going in early so maybe I can figure out this Algebra that I missed.

Love you guys.
