We've started to cover water-colour paints in my water-based painting class. Up unti l now it's been acryllic and gouache. Tonight's exercise had us painting a still life in class. The teacher gave us a demo and just let us go at it. It was so relaxing and enjoyable. I just put my headphones on immersed myself in the project and was very happy with the end result, as was my teacher who insisted I could hand this one in as my next evaluation assignment though I think I'm going to want to play around with water-colours a little more.
In other news, Jason has encouraged me to upload more of my massive cd collection to my computer so that it's more accessible and I can reacquaint myself with my old pleasures of listening to music. It's been great so far listening to albums I haven't listened to in months and in some cases years. I've rediscovered a little album by a group called A Camp, which was a one-album venture featuring the lead singer from the Cardigans. I don't think I ever really gave it much of a thorough listen until now and I'm loving it! As you can see, I'm going through my "A" section, so I've also been listening to Ambrosia, Bryan Adams, Apples in Stereo, Ace of Base, Fiona Apple and Aphrodite's Child to name a few. I'm also learning there are many albums that will soon be making a permanant visit to the used cd-shop.....I'm gonna need a bigger hard drive...
