I'm way too nice. There should be a "welcome" sign tattooed on my back, really.
One of my co-workers wanted to swap her weekday shift (today) with one of my Saturdays (next weekend), which I agreed to. I woke up at 6 this morning, left early for work, got to hospital, checked my messages and found a message from her from last night telling me she didn't want to do the swap anymore and that she was coming in to work.
I didn't really want to work today so I gladly went home, but this is the second time that this co-worker has screwed me over and I just smiled and shrugged it off when I saw her in person. Once over the summer I needed to take a Saturday off and she offered to swap with me and then just the day before she told me she was no longer available-- plus, I had already turned down another shift so that I could do hers for the swap. Jason is livid with her, even though I haven't done anything to reckon with her. I usually just leave it alone even though it's very unfair. I've found that complaining about small injustices at work usually falls on deaf ears or has a negative effect at most, so I just don't bother anymore.
Anyway, it's just as well. I get to be at home today and tidy up my apartment just in time for October 1st when my landlord is going to start showing my apartment to prospective new tenants. I've also got to start packing and widdling down stuff I don't really need anymore so that I don't explode with stuff all over Jason's condo.

Hey, any artists out there? Loomis and Toles is having a great sale on right now for back to school. The sale is dragging on longer than I expected it to, but for myself I've managed to pick up a lot of paint supplies and saved quite a bit of money by buying in bulk. What's even more rewarding is that I've actually been using them!!
