New Work

I Got around to photographing some recent pieces from my Cartooning III course. There weren't as many small assignments this time so I only have a few polished works, but here are two, with another one I shall post next week.

The above isn't actually how the original looks. We were posed the task of creating an anthology cover for our would-be long time characters whom we've been working with since last September. Obviously I was working with hippie characters and I wanted to created a psychedelic theme. I wasn't really satisfied with the finished project, so the above is actually a rough conception of what I would have liked it to look like had I used bolder colours.

This one was our only reproduction of semester. In the previous semester we did 3. Again, sticking with the cover-art motif, we had to choose a cover and copy it, so I chose a book by Ronald Searle. You can see the original cover here. Notice my version is not as mangy.

I will be getting back my final project today-- a full page comic-- and I shall be posting that here shorty.
