Art Holiday
Jason and I had had plans to try to go to New York city on one of his weeks off from work. While we haven't completely thrown it out the window there is the nagging sensation that we might not really be able to afford it, especially with me going back to University in the fall. We'll have to see. We've been examining cheaper alternatives and decided that you can't get much cheaper than away to the family cottage. So next week Jason and I will be gone to his family's cottage up in Perry Sound. I plan to bring up all my watercolours and oil paints and just paint to my heart's content without distraction...except for Jason. A friend of mine gave me the idea to take an art holiday like she has so many times in her past. She even recommended an art studio I could stay at in Newfoundland for $300/month. Not a bad idea really. I may just have to get those details from her sometime.
Anyhow, I am excited. I hope to bring back a pile of new work. My teacher in cartooning class said he'd hold an unofficial showing of my work in the classroom the week I got back :). I will put it on my resume.
