start of classes

So it's the first day of classes and i'm sitting in the basement of COM in the cage. Oh yeah, there was definitely a flurry of activity when Pete opened the door for me, and both julie (who is opening the mac lab) and kat (who works after me) showed up. Other than that, there is one guy here who is fixing our enlargers. And Mike (my boss) isn't here yet. So it makes for a busy day for me as I laze back with my coffee maker and ancient computer. After I'm done checking on where my classes are and reading my emails, i'm planning on taking out a nice novel and reading that. I am here till 2. Plus, I've been here for a whole 53 minutes so far and I turned on all the safelights in the darkroom. It's been productive. 4 hours and 5 minutes to go. Good thing I have a 10 cup coffee maker. And I took cups from student services upstairs. Julie and Kat and I are going to start a coffee fund and go steal sugar from the GSU or Starbucks. It'll be an adventure. We're thinking about using the late fees that we charge people for equipment as coffee money. Really a good idea. I don't know where it goes otherwise.
I'm hoping nobody shows up. Then I don't have to do anything. And I still get paid. Woo. Plus, if someone does come in, I'll have to mix chemicals, which I haven't done yet, and that can be a problem, cause I don't have a key to get into the room that the chemicals are in so that i can mix them. So I just hope nobody shows up. Which they shouldn't, cause really, the only classes that come in here are the basic photos and I don't think there is a basic photo class on Tuesday. At least when I work, so I may be golden.
I don't have anything interesting to say, so i'll go lean back and relax with my novel and coffee.
