Well folks, I always knew this day would come, and it's been in the back of my mind now for several years, but now it hath finally happened - the bumper van bit the dust.
If it's any consolation, I should note that the old girl went out in a glorious pillar of engine smoke and green goo. Nonetheless, it would cost more to do the repairs than the actual cost of the car itself, so it looks like the end of the road. I'm kinda of wondering what we're going to do with it now, since it was so iconic it seems like we should do something... either way, that car was a friggin' tank, and thusly I pay my respects. *salute*
I should be getting a new car (not like NEW new, but... you know, used-but-very-good) sometime next week, my parents said that they knew this would happen one day so they've kind of been planning on it, but until then I'm having to either walk everywhere or bum rides. Not only that, but the weather sucks right now in Harrisonburg, it's cold as balls, and I'm getting sick. BAH.
Other than that... life's pretty good, actually. I just finished writing my electric guitar concerto last night, and I gotta say, it sounds pretty badass. Classes are going well, I don't know that anything is particularly notable in that department. Kat and I are still going out, even though people are constantly asking me "Are you two still going out?!", so yes we are, and things are quite good. Being the middle of the semester though, I have more work than I know what to do with... but hey, that's life.
On one kind of random note, I'll be back in Forest next weekend - November 2nd through 4th - so let me know if you'll be in town and maybe we can hang out. That'd be cool.
And on one final and completely random note, I got invited to a Guitar Hero III release party on Saturday night. It's gonna be NICE. ;)
