(no subject)
My wedding was amazing. We had a cookout the night before, and Katy got to meet my family. She had an instant connection with Tucker, which was really awesome. They have very similar personalities :) Dad made salmon for me :)
That night we stayed at the inn, and we made a discovery. The bed... was really creaky... haha. Breakfast at the inn was lovely. I always love pancakes. We had breakfast with Jeremy and Kim, who are such a different couple from DJ and I. I know DJ loves both his brothers though.
I ran around a bit that morning helping DJ do the minimal decorating we wanted. We hung up the paper lanterns and flowers :) We never did turn the lights in the paper lanterns on... And DJ spent so much time worrying about them too. I'm glad we didn't do anymore decorating than we did. It was really easy to clean up afterward, and like I thought, it was more about being with everyone we love.
Mom, dad, Tory, Tucker and Katy came early enough for me to greet them downstairs without my dress on. When Michelle arrived, then it was time to get ready. Michelle did my hair, and it will never look so lovely again <3. Mom thanked Michelle for being in my life. She's never done that before to my knowledge. I think she appreciated that Michelle kept her calm when she couldn't find a bottle opener, haha. My mama needed a drink that morning...
The moment I looked at DJ walking towards him, and I saw him looking at me, his whole face lit up <3 The ceremony and vows went very well. Tucker was such a lovely JP <3 Tory played me down the aisle :) We had formal pictures after... It was nice to get it all done at once and quickly. We'll see them in about four weeks I guess.
Our guests... I loved seeing and talking with everyone. I gave Michelle her champagne bubbles from her wedding. I gave Emily her christmas present from three years ago... haha... I danced :) I realized when my mom said something that my parents had never really seen me dance at a party before ^.^;;; Or sing ^.^;;; I guess I couldn't not be myself at my own wedding though, hahaha...
Just seeing everyone... John sidled up to me while I had a crabcake in my hand. He said, "Don't talk... Just eat, and I'll just stand here." Now that... Is friendship <3 Melissa and Katherine both danced with me <3 I love those girls. I had to make Alanna dance, lol. We got to see Ryan and Josh :) So good to see them looking happy... Ryan actually came up to see me while we were getting my dress on. I'm glad we got to talk a little <3
A fly landed in my sparkling apple cider. It was doing the backstroke when I found it.
Katy's best man speech blew us all away. My mom said she didn't even want to follow it. I'll never forget what she said about our relationship just making so much sense :)
I cut my cake :) And ate it too. I had so much fun... This is what I can think of for now. Maybe I'll write more later :)
