1. Went to go see Cymbeline a few days ago at the Barrow Theater. The play itself is one of Shakespeare's more nonsensical works, but the production was one of the most delightful I've been to in a while. 1. Last week I went to see King Lear for the first time. It's become an unofficial goal of mine to see all of Shakespeare's plays, a goal which is assisted greatly by living in New York, which is chock full of Shakespearean productions (including a whole slew of them by the Royal Shakespeare Company this summer, as well as Shakespeare in the Park ( Read more... )

1. So it seems that the street right outside my apartment has become quite the popular parking/filming location. A couple of days ago, we had the crew from Blue Bloods (a TV show about cops, apparently) filming with a bunch of extras and loads of actors in cop uniforms.
