I got caught up on watching some things I've been meaning to watch forever:
Family Guy's The Empire Strikes Back, which was fun and featured the original soundtrack of the movie. Some good jokes and whatnot.
Battlestar Galactica: The Plan - it's a weird cross between all the outtakes in the 5 seasons (though mostly season 1) plus new material with almost all the cylons. It's a tremendous showcase of Dean Stockwell, who is great in it, and I have to say it was striking to see the difference in acting ability between Grace Park in the newly shot scenes versus Grace Park in season 1. Kudos to her for growing so much as an actor. I also really enjoyed spening more time with the Simon and Doral models, along with a couple of the final five. It also reminded me that in spite of the tremendous stupidity of the series finale, the rest of the show itself from the writing to the acting to the cinematography was really excellent and worthwhile, even if the overarching mythology was a let down. In a way, it doesn't even matter that the mythology kind of flopped because the series was always about the characters in this terrible, terrible situation and the characters are truly amazing--even the cylons (and I love it when writers really take the time to give 'villains' a motivation, purpose, and personality).
Sliding Doors - finally saw this movie after a long time of meaning to see it. It was good, lightweight and charming, which actually turned out to be perfect for my mood yesterday.
Archer - read some reviews that said this oddball little cartoon about some kind of secret agent is funny and so I gave it a shot. I like it thus far.
Project Runway - got caught up on all the recent eps, and thankfully, this round of designers is far more talented and ineresting than last round. The challenge in episode two was particularly good.
Bones - Got caught up on all the recent eps which were fun. Some cute new developments, though there are several on-going will-they-won't-they love plots that have finally eroded the last of my patience and no longer interest me. Ah well.
White Collar - I finally got to watch the first five episodes of this and enjoyed it far more than I expected to! I'm glad Matthew Bomer has finally gotten himself an ongoing TV series after a series of dudes since I've been interested in old Snake Eyes for at least five years now (forgot what I first saw him in but it's hard to forget a beautiful face like that). It's also kind of fun to see Tiffani Amber-Thiessen on air again.
The Mentalist - after this massive weekend of procedurals, I think I've seen almost every single plot there is. This series is still fun to me but I wish they'd focus more on the characters and less on the weekly crime since it's largely not that interesting--especially not in comparison to the Red John business.
