Well we finally have all our furniture and worldy possesions and life is back to normal. I can't even tell you how good this feels. It was a busy week. The truck came on Monday and Derek nearly killed himself getting everything into the apartment in one day. I was SO proud of his hard work. He really killed himself and the result was that we were settled in in just under two days. I spent most of the day cleaning our kitchen things. It seemed as though everything in the house was covered in a thin layer of grease with a thick layer of dust and dirt ontop so EVERYTHING had to be wipped down with dish soap. It was disgusting. Most of the kitchen appliances and pots and pans had food on them as if they had been used and then just put away without being cleaned. I had to throw a few things away because they were so badly destroyed. It was really a tough day emotionally for me but we got through it!
So now our home is set up and things are settling down. I'm back at work this week which is good and bad. I' ready to start my maternity leave now but it's still nice to get those weekly paychecks. I wish there was some way I could work from home.
Derek and I had a doctors appointment on Friday and everything is going well. Dr. Hays thinks that Zach has turned which means that his head is pressing on my bladder making me have to pee every 5 minutes or so. His little butt and feet are constantly pressing out of my right and left side which is fun to watch but annoying to feel. Sometimes just his rolling around takes my breath away. He's getting BIG and I can feel it! I have two more bi-weekly appointments and then I'll start going every week to check for dialation and the beginning of labor. ACK!
I still get a little stressed when I think about the fact that his nursery is currently the home to several boxes of books and CDs/DVDs. There is so much that we need to do to get ready for his arrival. I just don't want to wait until the last minute. I want to do it now and just have it ready. Luckily MB and Richard bought a bed for Lydia this weekend so as soon as it is delivered we can get his crib set up. That will make me feel MUCH better! I think I might just go ahead and buy his crib bedding rather than wait for the shower. It's expensive so I'm not sure anyone would buy it anyway and it would be nice to have.
So that's life for now! It's good and I'm as happy as I could be!
