i rub my closed eyes and blackness smears
across the page in front of my face
and everything disappears
and we embrace
it swells and a smile tweaks
from my heart happiness leaks
and floods my barren soul
love like rain pouring over my head
drenched in passion
i open my eyes
alone in my bed
the dead world shifts inwards towards me
the pain dehydrates me
foolish i was to believe
that love could have found me
i allow you to sleep at night
while i suffer inside my head
the day i stop loving,
is the day they'll find me dead
