Wanting at least a little bit of approval and appreciation for what you do is pretty much a very very common human characteristic. Some ego-basting(?) every now and then certainly gives you some adrenalin rush towards the future. Don't feel bad about it, you are human after all! And if you look at most of the famous artists (not just for music) you'll find that very few had your humility to admit that. Sorry, but I can't count the times I've read or seen how egocentric and egomaniacs some of the great artists were. And for as negative as that may sound, if it hadn't been for that focus on their own perfection and constant struggling and working towards that, I think we wouldn't have such beautiful art pieces! So, be bolt, your love for music shouldn't have compromises, even if people don't give you the right response, you know you can't stop working towards inproving, learning and getting to new frontiers. And that's what makes special your love for music! You know what I mean....it's too beautiful.

P.S. And for what regards the traditional male figure...thank goodness there is someone who dared moving forward from that otherwise the world would still be at ape level...;->

Thank you for the affirmation, the confirmation, and the support, that's all we all need once in a while, support, and from someone we don't "really know", hence there's no chance of ulterior motives and all that other stuff. Thanks, ~Shawn :-)
