Apparently it is Dream Season again.

I had a dream last night where my iPod was smoking. Not as in "it had become anthropomorphic and had acquired a pack of cigarettes and a lighter" but as in "smoke was coming out of it." It was working fine, but I kept thinking that maybe I shouldn't use it, but then I was like "No! Need music!"

This is far better than the ex-boyfriend dreams of the previous night. The ones that hurt - not because the dreams themselves are upsetting, but because you wake up and remember you're no longer friends with that person (in fact, they're a douchebag) and you wish that things had turned out differently.

And this is better than the dream I had where one of my brothers, my sister and I were exploring this warehouse, and we come to this big room with a door (to hell) and a guy sweeping. Think "Bruce Almighty" except reverse everything - it's a big scary dark warehouse room, the guy is an old vaguely creepy white guy, and the doorway is like a door way on the top of a building (just standing in the middle of the floor and the stairs go down). The guy is some sort of keeper of the doorway (maybe the devil, maybe god, maybe just the gatekeeper - unknown) and he warns us against going in there. Well that's good enough for me, but my siblings get really interested in the door - they open it, stick their heads into it, are excited to explore. And nothing I say will get them away from it. Finally I try to bribe my brother with buying him dinner every night for a month. The sweeping guy goes "So you're just going to sit on your ass and get fat?" and they go into the door. Every car alarm in the area of the warehouse goes off, I know they're in trouble and the only way to save them is through that door keeper. But I have no idea what to do.

But this does not top the dream I had a couple weeks ago about a friend of mine. I emailed it to him:
so I guess we were in college? Or you were at least. And it was the end of the semester and you had allllll these library books that were overdue. But you weren't returning them. So I was returning them for you (without your knowledge). And some of these books were from other college's libraries that you had borrowed when you were randomly in the area. I had returned all of the books except 2, and I had to take the bus to other campuses and back to return these. So I returned one without a hassle. I go and return the other - and I guess I had to use some sort of electronic system that was linked to me being a student or something. Anyway, you had figured out that I was returning your books for you and you were able to track my movements using this electronic system. You could look it up on the internet - it was kind of creepy that way. But anyway, you find me on this random campus after I had returned your book. It was around dusk and I don't think I had a way to get back to Rochester from here. I was sitting in a grassy area watching the sun set across a river and then you showed up - it was actually kind of cool. We sat and talk and you tried to show me how you tracked me but for some reason you couldn't recreate it. And (apparently for the first time) occurred to me that you might still need the books that I was returning and you were like "No, I'm not allowed to use books anymore, don't worry about it."
Since we were on this random campus (Oneonta? Onandaga? Oswego? It might not have existed in real life) we decide to crash this event. I guess the event was combination lecture and movie watching. I guess the movies were supposed to be the 4 movies of Firefly series (wait, what?) but instead they start showing this movie about global warming. So we're watching this aerial view of the north pole ice caps, and they're saying how the ice caps are melting, and sometimes forming "gelatinous ice." So first we're looking at ice, then we're looking at something that looks like peppermint (the red and white striped candies), then we're looking at floating red logs. The floating red log view was terrifying because there weren't very many of them, and you could obviously see the current pulling them away. But then it turned out that the floating red logs were an experiment they were doing somewhere in the ocean to study currents. And then all of sudden the floating red logs were in a giant puddle in a parking lot, and I was actually there doing the experiment and my shoes were soaked.
And then I woke up.
