The Stars....sometimes our fate is predetermined...

i think im gonna call it The Stars...i dunno..but this is the result of too much time on my hands.

her mother had a condition
her grandma died of that tradition
and she begged her mama please
please say i dont have that disease
her mama spoke through the sudden tears
said maybe in your later years
at least thats what the doctors say
but you dont have it today

She prayed the symptoms wouldnt start
but her future was already written in the stars

she used to smile once upon a time
when she thought of the life before her
somehow it all stopped on a dime
and her days seemed so much longer
she prayed shed make it through the sleepless nights
it was hopeless in the end we could see
we could see it in her half-closed eyes
the girl she could never be

she grew tired of her condition
and she hated that style of livin
so she begged her mama please
please say i dont have that disease
her mama spoke through the sudden tears
said baby have fun in your later years
not all of us have that kinda time of day
at least thats what the doctors say

she prayed as the symptoms began to start
but her future was already written in the stars

she used to smile once upon a time
when she thought of the life before her
somehow it all stopped on a dime
and her days seemed so much longer
she prayed shed make it through the sleepless nights
it was hopeless in the end we could see
we could see it in her half-closed eyes
the girl she could never be

there was hope once upon a time
she could live her life once upon a time
she couldnt even look her mother in the eye
when she screamed to god how could this happen to mine
as her mother laid down at the end of her life
her daughter condemned to die

she prayed and prayed with all her heart
but her future was already written in the stars

she used to smile once upon a time
when she thought of the life before her
somehow it all stopped on a dime
and her days seemed so much longer
she prayed shed make it through the sleepless nights
it was hopeless in the end we could all see
we could see it in her half-closed eyes
the girl she knew she could never be
