I am in San Diego with my parents. Tonight we ate dinner at a restaurant called JSix, and it was the fanciest dinner I've ever had. It wasn't just the decor or the food, but the whole experience. Incredibly elegant. The food was, however, beyond amazing. The portions were small, but it was perfect. Just for example, my mother got seared scallops in a really good sauce with homemade ricotta gnochi and other things. Our dessert platter included my first creme bruille (spelling, I know), an amazing flourless chocolate cake thing, espresso ice with cream, and drunken strawberry shortcake. Wow. It was amazing. I think I am going snorkeling Thursday here, where I will hopefully see sharks and seals and sea lions. See you all soon.
