you may have noticed that i was out of contact for a brief period after my return home from alaska (about a week or so)
so the truth is, i've been captured by pirates and dragged, kicking and screaming, into the gally where they forced me to work and cook for them day and night,. i stayed there for five or six days, but luckily, though, on one moonless night, i crawled out the gally and was about to escape. unfortunately Legless Joe spotted me and called everyone to attention. A large fight ensued, with no cannons involved, thank goodness, so but a large many very pointy swords, and a few drunken pirates who seemed to just be slapping each other with fish...
anyway, thanks to my ninja-like acrobatic skill, i managed to flip over all their heads and do some twirly kicky stuff in the air and made it into the ocean, where i spent the few days swimming to shore.
i found myself on a beach in sweden and just arrived home today. *phewph*.
heroic though it was, I kind of want to keep this escapade on the down low, so if you hear me telling people where I was, try to play along. here's my story:
i went up to Vermont with my friend Michelle and her family to spend the week at the Trapp Family Lodge. we swam and shopped and ate ice cream (mmmm ice cream), and then at night Michelle and i stayed up and watched movies and talked and laughed and kept waking her parents up cuz we were being too loud. :-/ oops
but it was still quite awesome
she has rediscovered digimon (remember? way back when?) which i haven't seen since 3rd grade, but at the time i was in fact completely obsessed with. [that and pokemon were in a sort of endless duel for my love] so anyway, one night she broke out her old VHS tapes of them (i know what you're thinking "what is a VHS?", well try to remember waaaaaay far back) and we had a marathon which was pretty darn sweet
i also watched Jurassic Park, and we decided we were raised by velociraptors (there're some pretty sweet pictures on my myspace)
and i got back on sunday.
<.< >.> <.< *shifty eyes* that's my story and i'm stickin' with it.
if you hear me telling that to anyone, try to nod your head and play along and act like you believe me
you know the truth though....
and be careful, I wouldn't want any of you do go through the same dreadful experience.
now if you'll excuse me, i have to go try AGAIN to get the smell of dead fish out of my hair.
au revoir

((and then this week just basically got lazy. we did go to see fireworks though and that was quite cool, but other than that i've been sort of enjoying dawdling around the house and trying to catch up on everything after my week on the open seas.. err, um... in vermont. ))) tata
