(no subject)
HHHOOkay. szo it's been like 10 months since i've been on here (well... two. but whatever)
so i'm gonna update you with a brief history of the world...
but first i came on to post, for reasons that i usually post, not because of all the dumb boring update stuff that's happened in my life. but becaaaauuse i'm usually really excited or really upset or really confused about something that i need to just sort of talk thru and then i talk thru it and either feel better or get all my excitement out and am like YAYYYY
anywhos, today it's a YAYYYYLDASUfjlksdjlkjsdlkfjsdlkfjlsadkjf super YAY one, and the first exciting thing that happened, i should tell you, is on monday i was getting really excited about summer vacation and decided that over vaca i should learn to play piano, and i found this great website on line (my PIANO NANNY!) but i didn't start then, except last night i was just like 'u no what screw studying for english exam there's not that much to do, i'm PRACtlically out of school, i'm gonna learn PIANOOO" and we dragged out our old keyboard, which has been sitting in the family room in a corner for maybe 3 years, and i put it in front of the computer and went thru the first bunch of lessons on piano nanny (!!! i learned where you're hands go, and the treble cleff line is for your right hand, the bass clef is for your left; i never knew that before) and annnyway it was really exciting, and toDAY on teh way home from SCHOOL, we stopped and got a book of easy piano songs, and i got home maybe an hour ago, and was working thru the first one- breakaway, and playing the notes (mostly the melody line, w/ my right hand,) but i did it, and did it right, and it's not perfect nor can i really play it well BUT i CAN PLAY It, and i even for little bits i could sing along and play it with myself at the same time, aand could teach myself what notes were right and play around until my voice found it and it is just specTACular.
so aaaanyway my big excitement news ist hta I JUST PLAYED MY FIRST SONG ON PIANO.
and as long as i'm here and while i'm at it i might as well tell you my other exciting big news; I'M ON SUMMER VACATION. yes. yes indeedy. today was our last exam ever (for this year anyway) and WHOOOHOOOS i have 3 months of NO SCHOOL/commitment. holy crapoli. i don't think i can even wrap my MIND around it. relax? what is this word that you say??
soo AAANywhos that's about pretty cool. and exams all week, which yeah, wasn't fun, but i felt like i understood stuff, and history (history exams SUCKED for me last year- you can tell if you read one of my first couple posts as i created my live journal last year i think right after a history exam.... ((i was just looking back over my first few posts because i couldn't remember what my password was- it's been so long since i logged on.- and was looking for a clue. i didn't find one so i reset my pw. ... in case you all wanted to know)))) AAANYWAY what was i talking about? oh yeah- exams not fun but at least i feel like they went pretty well and i know what i'm talking about HOLY CRAP SUMMER. okay. ha i almost wrote holy carp
okay. okay okay.
so now that we've got the OMG (yes.. Oh eM Ge) exciting stuff out of the way, i can give you a breif update on my life since... aparently april 13.
so i spent a week as a boarder, living w/ 3 of my boarder friends in their room at the end of april. OH MY GOSH so fun. tot want to be a boarder senior year (YAY gotta talk to david rost)
on the first weekend in may i went on a church retreat w/ my coming of age group. it was so much fun. i love them all so much. + i really got to know a lot of them better too, so that rocked and a half.
the next weekend was my cousin dana's weddding. in new yorkk. but not in the city it was at this really little place in the mountains, and it was so beautiful and really comfortable and casual and just a wonderful wonderful thing. ^^
and thennnnn last weekend i had A) my dance recital on saturday which was a lot of fun and mom said i was really good (but you know, she's my mom so how much can i really trust her w/ that?). i messed up a couple times but she said she didn't notice at all, i was just having so much fun on stage out there. and then my dance teacher called me the next day and was like wohooop de doop sandy you won an awarrrd. (which isn't like this rare phenomenon thing cuz they give out like 30) but i still feel really special and like oh my gosh i'm so excITed. ^_^ and so yay. i shall have to go pick that up, except since i couldn't come get it on sunday i think i have to wait til next fall.
but in anny case, then on sunday was my coming of age credo reading. all the kids read their like 3 minute long 'credo' speecies in front of the church at the service instead of there being a sermon, and we planned the whole service and so the kinds who played instruments did a couple songs (they're REally good). and i sang a song w/ 2 of my friends. (ehhh i know i was off key but hey whatevs it was sweet and fun. not awful but i don't know if it was good. but yeah. let's stick with that. not awful).
and a lot of people told me they really liked my credo. so YAYY. i feel so happy. i really love those guys. ^_^ <3.
and ooh this is unrelated but i really want to get a book, and glue beautiful pictures in and write wonderful quotes and fabulous words and stuff like . yup. so i should get one of those. i'm waiting to find just the right journal thing.

and then here i am now. exam week (oh, and my classes were all so great this semester. i'm actually really sad to see a lot of them end; chemistry, english, and US History even- i mean yeah it's great that i feel like im understanding stuff now (holy cow what? where? who? ME? UNDERSTANDING STUFF??!?!?!! esp history that's really shocking. but in a wonderful way) but anyway we have the funniest time in class, and go off on the biggest tangents. somehow we got into this thing of doing competitive yoga every once in a while, where we'd all just get up and go into tree and see who could hold it for the longest. on the last day of classes one of the girls had made us all shirts that said "easily distracted" on the front and had a silhouette drawing of someone in tree on the back. it was the most amazing thing ever. i love us.
so anyway the world is pretty exciting right now. sorry that was really so long but holy cow amazign I LOVE MY LIFE. ^_~ ^_~ YAY
