Life with a baby around is pretty nice; I'm glad I get to be a part of her growth.

Work situation is looking up overall, though every day there seems to be a new hard-to-solve issue I have to assess and push to resolve.

Between lots of training and GameStorm this last week, my throat was miserable but I had a good time meeting gamers and re-meeting others. Learned some new games and new expansions to games we already own, some if which I was surprised to like.

Last night we brainstormed an awesome idea to still be able to purchase new games we like without sacrificing our commitment to spend less overall. Most games of the sort we play cost approximately the same as a nice meal dining out (depending on where you eat and some games can lean more toward two cheaper nice meals than one regular nice meal). We've long had the tradition of eating out once a week on Sundays and had previously decided to make that the only meal out and no more media with rare exception. Yesterday we discovered we could have both meals and games if we sacrificed one meal (or two depending) opting for eating at home that week to earn one game during game day (every other week is 20% off). This way, both options feel like treats and we still save money! It's all about priorities and value for cost. Yay!
