Plateau...like gateau but no chocolate.

My script has plateaued at 10,036 words. I'm supposed to have 12,006 so far. It's not the FURTHEST I've been behind this month, but it's annoying because I know where I want to go next. Chris has just got into the club and into the corridor leading to the club rooms, with a tall, dishy man. The only snag is, it's a gay club...but he doesn't know ( Read more... )

Write it as both! Then you'll see which comes out on top. (Of course, it's twice the work ...)

Yep, that's what I said! Because putting the work into a different format might get the juices flowing in the right direction. It would be like writing fiction in both first and third person, to see which way looks best.

*I* wouldn't do it ... way too much work. :-0

Good numbers though! You are beating me. I'm also struggling with motivation... and plot. My story is rather boring. I think I should have done a horror. Get bored, get killed.

I've just been sitting down and writing the biggest load or rubbish known to man. I've abandoned theme and character arcs.

It would probably be a good exercise after July to try it in novel format. I wanted to write my Nanowrimo novel in script - which I think would be a challenge, because I wrote it in an episodic way that probably only works in novel.
