I'm exceedingly bored.

so i've been listening to the nightmare before xmas soundtrack, and it struck me at how at the end Patrick Stewart (Santa/Sandy Klaws) comments on how when he went to halloween town to visit jack, sometime after the events of the movie, there were a number of little skellingtons present, playing xylophones. while i appreciate the classic pun of skeletons and xylophones, the fact that jack and sally had children, seemingly in the natural course of things, gives me what can only be called pause for thought. i don't mean the part where the baby was actually conceived etc., but whether the parents could conceive to begin with. specifically, Sally. since this is fiction, it's a given that jack can perform ALL functions of a healthy living male. but sally has more mystery to her, in my opinion.

my question is, is Sally dead, or nonliving? this would have an effect on childbearing. if she was created with the purpose of creating an 'able body', Dr. Finklestein would have treated her as the help and had done with her. but he tries to console her of her restlessness, calling it a phase and assuring her that it'd pass. this specific phrasing puts me in mind of my mom saying that i'm going through a dark rebellious phase (which pisses me off). so maybe, sally was at one point alive. maybe Dr. F's relation (not necessarily a daughter) or a lab assistant. i'm of the mind that sally was his daughter, a dreamer, like now, but sickly. she died of whatever ailed her, and Dr. F couldn't handle that, so he brought her back using a bunch of different body parts from healthier corpses (if those last two words together made any sense) which is why he was so intent on her staying inside away from over excitement, and also why she's unsteady, her body parts are mismatched, making it difficult to find her balance while walking.

...now i want a tnbc sequel. that doesn't suck, and shows me what jack/sally spawn would look like.

in other, les retarded rambly news, i just went downstairs and i think the goldfish finally kicked off. it's unconfirmed as of yet, but he definitley is upside down, though not floating, and his gills don't appear to be moving. it's surprising, i thought he'd go with more bang.

wtf, theories
