Finally...an update
This past week I started track...I'm sucking right now because I am WAY out of shape but I'm going to try to push myself as hard as I can because I really want to do good at this sport...I talked to Rocky about what events I should run and he said definately the 400...which I really wouldnt mind at all...its like a (almost) sprint one lap around the track...I would love to get like a 1 minute and 10 seconds or less time and eventually get to be on the girls 4x400 relay team but I probably wont...I'm only a freshmen and I'm not that fast either ::sigh:: oh well tho...Rocky told me to run w/ the distance ppl for right now and then after a couple of meets he will let me run a 400 all out...>_< ahh I'm a lil nervous...I really want to do well
but besides that I was in a LOT of pain this weekend from track...my legs were killing me and then I went to a true love retreat w/ emma's church and we had to walk up a lot of hills which = a lot of pain on my already sore legs haha
the true love waits retreat was awesome tho...I really enjoyed hanging out w/ emma, steven, and clarke
it was a little awkward w/ all the std's, sex stories, and such that they talked about but a lot of it hit home and made a lot of sense to me...but anywho last night for the retreat we had to get all dressed up for a banquet thing...I was one of the underdressed ppl but I didnt mind...some of the girls had like hardcore prom dresses on I was like woah...they looked uncomfortable...I wore a burgandy shirt w/ a hippie skirt...a lady came to cornerstone and did all of the girls hair...she gave me a french twist and then teased my hair...it looked alright after emma edited it a bit and put a bow barette in my hair but at first I had BIG hair...it was a little much
the dinner tho was v. great...the guys all had to serve us dinner (which I felt a little bad about) but emma and I were the only girls at our table so we had clarke, steven, and 2 younger guys to serve us...haha. we had a potatoe, 2 salads, 2 rolls, chocolate cake, and no steak or chicken ...yuck
we discovered we are so not smooth w/ the whole formal dinner thing tho ...I spilt my drink, steven caught things on fire, our napkins blew away, and I spilt wax everywhere...what was worse was they needed to reuse the center pieces at the table...lets just say ours was past reusable...haha
the whole retreat made me really want to go to camp...I cant wait till July...I've never been to E Camp b4 (well actually none of us have) but I believe it will rock just like Centrifuge and M-Fuge did
....but anywho I have a concert tonight at tremont!!
