CBC.ca announced the other day that Shake Hands With the Devil will open at the Atlantic Film Festival in Halifax at the beginning of September. The book is written by Canadian Lieutenant-General (that's lef-ten-ant, thank you) Roméo Dallaire about his experiences leading the failed UN peacekeeping attempt in Rwanda. The movie is produced by Michael Donovan, who hails from Halifax and is better known as one of the producers for Michael Moore's Bowling For Columbine. The actor starring as Dallaire is Roy Dupuis, a Quebeçois who was in the kickass TV series La Femme Nikita and Denys Arcand's movie the Barbarian Invasions.
In short, omgmyworldjustexploded, and I wonder how much a ticket to Halifax would cost. I could just sleep outside the theatre in a cardboard box to lessen the costs. >.>
