I didn't realize it had been a month since I last updated. Well, let's see - I survived the rest of Student Teaching. The last day was so sweet. They had cake and each of the kids made me a card. ♥ They gave me a thermus that they had all signed..which I was pretty excited about because I had been wanting one for a while. They also gave me a really cute bag embrodered with my name and filled with a bunch of teacher stuff. My teacher and I performed for the kids, just a few little songs. It was a weird feeling, being done. The next week after that, I started subbing. I was in Kindergarten for a day and then I subbed for my class for 2 days! It was a lot of fun, they really enjoyed it. :) All last week, I was with the Kindergarten kids aiding again. They're really fun, but I don't know if I could teach that age.. if nothing else, because I can't sing, LOL. Oh, and we can't forget missing graduation. There was a stupid snowstorm. :( Ugh. Well, I might go back and walk in May.. I haven't decided yet though. So anyways, it's nice to have a break with nothing to do. On Sunday, we had our best holiday party ever. We started with a Mary Kay party. It was tons of fun! My face was probably thinking, what the hell? because it usually doesn't get that good of treatment.. ;) I bought 2 eye colors and a lip color! The lipstick is a little brighter than I usually have, but it looks good if I put another color over it. :) Then we exchanged presents for our Secret Santas. I had Becca and she loved the movie.. and Jess had me. She got me PS I Love You (the book) and a gift card to Barnes & Noble. I started reading it and it's soo good! She also got me a pink hat/scarf/gloves set because we exchanged outside the Secret Santa. Then we went out to Claim Jumpers, which was yummy! It was awfully cold, though. Jess, Erin and I took a great picture. ;) After dinner, we came back and had ice cream with a bunch of delicious toppings. I'd probably have just the toppings if I could. ;) I stayed the night at Jess's and in the morning, we went on a hunt for a gingerbread house. We finally found one at Michaels. Aside from one of the sides falling to the floor and breaking in a million pieces (but we frosted it back together!), it came together pretty nicely.

Yesterday I went shopping and got 2 cute sweaters at Old Navy, both on sale for $20. :D Then today, I went to Orland Park and hung out with Nicole and Trisha. We had lunch at Corner Bakery and went shopping. I got some new comfy sweatpants from Old Navy, since mine have a bunch of holes in them.

Can't wait for ice skating in Millennium Park on Saturday. :)
