(no subject)
my professors weren't kidding when they said i would be EXTREMELY busy this semester. i think i had about five hours of sleep a night last week...i was basically a zombie. i'm surprised no one told me i looked like the walking dead.
the first week of my internship was actually incredibly awesome. i'm in a 5th grade classroom this year, which is quite a difference from the kiddos in kindergarten that i had last year. we got to go on field trips to bull creek preserve and the LBJ wildflower center and that ended up serving as a great icebreaker for myself, the other intern, and the students. the coolest thing we did on that first week was caving. we entered this somewhat small cave where we saw bats and crawled around with all this gear on.
is it sad that i'm already looking forward to spring break? i think the semester barely began about a month ago. since then it's been project after project after project. it's great practice/training and my professors are amazing, but i just really love sleeping.
