from beyondthesea:This is Namie Amuro’s 29th single and it was released on December 16, 2005. This single reached #7 on the Oricon Weekly Charts and it has sold 71,746 copies. The second track was used as the theme song for the Japanese release of the movie Sin City. There was supposed to be a third song on this single but it was shelved for unexplained reasons.
my commentary: Namie Amuro's one of my favorite female singers. She's got an awesome voice, and one that's not the typical sugary sweet female voice found in 99% of the Asian pop genre. and even though she's got this super thick Engrish accent, her songs still sound good xD
White Light is a calm, Christmas-y song (duh), but it's not as Christmas-y compared to typical x-mas songs. The bells in the background and a couple English Christmas song references give it a holiday feel, but IMO, aside from that, it could prolly pass off as a (really quiet) ballad.. Violet Sauce is Sin City-esque? lol..The combination of Namie's dreamy vocals and the instrumentals give it a mysterious, alluring quality..it's kinda dreamy and trancey, but kinda danceable at the same time xD...
