Today I worked. It was actually a lot of fun. It was me, Gracie and Alex in the front, and it was pretty dead. and Ambrosia was in the back, so that always spells a good time. Gracie thought our aprons should be worn as capes instead, so then Ambrosia put on her apron as a cape. Then Gracie did. Then I did, and we had Dick take a picture of us with our apron capes using Alex's camera. But, see, she was on lunch so she doesn't know about it. Hee! Also, Ambrosia made up a great song about lemon turnovers. It was a marvelous day. Almost made up for the fact that I had to get up at 7 and was tired and bored all day.
Tonight I watched 20/20. Because I checked Bagendinn.com for picture updates and it reminded me that the thing with Sean Astin would be on. Because don't pay much attention, I had no clue exactly what was being discussed, but I knew Sean was interviewed. As it turns out, it was an interview with him and his mother. About her illness and how hard it was for Sean and Mackenzie (Sean's younger brother) growing up with that. Oh, by the way, in case you didn't know Patty Duke is their mother. And Sean sort of has 4 fathers, because John Astin (Gomez on the Adams Family) was the guy he thought was his father, until his mom said Dezi Arnez Jr. was his father (Lucille Ball and Dezi Arnez's son), but according to paternity tests this other guy who's not an actor or anything is his father. And then there's something about another guy he considers his father. Oh, and in case you didn't know, Patty Duke's illness is manic depression. Yeah. It was a really lovely and touching interview. You know how much I love those back stories, and how much I love Seanie Astin. He even got a bit teary eyed in parts. And they showed his daughters, who are some of the most adorable kids ever. And Mackenzie (who was on the Facts of Life?!? why did I not know this?) is engaged! And I actually know what he looks like now. It's all so exciting. And of course the plot bunnies run rampent. I seriously am amazed that Sean and Mac went through all of that with their mother and are how they are today. There's so much emotional baggage that comes with things like that, and they're about as well-rounded and nice and dependable as ever. Well, Sean is anyway.
I had something else...oh! So, umm, Paris broke up with Nick earlier this week. I had heaard that here and there, but it was on Best Week Ever, so I know it's true. It was funny, they made fun of it so spectacularily. I am sad, though, because they seemed happy together, and I was actually starting to kind of go, "aww!" sometimes when I saw pictures of them together.
And now I work Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Going for the 7 days in a row now. Woo. I still haven't broken my 8 days straight record when I was 14 and was going to the BSB concert.
And yeah. That's about it. My life is so exciting, woo!
