I have two thoughts on this.

1.) She can talk to her friends about her ex. That is not your job. A jerk I just stopped dating was kissing me in his car (an old mustang convertible) and I looked at the backseat. I said, "that backseat is so tiny. how do people fit back there?" and he said "I had sex back there with my ex. Top down, seats forward, it wasn't that cramped". All I said was "I really don't want to talk about you having sex with another girl" and he was like "ok". It doesn't have to be a big speech, just a light comment with a subject change will do. She probably knows she shouldn't do it, she just continues to because you're so good at pretending it doesn't bother you, so one quick comment should be enough.

2.) As someone who dates people who aren't good enough for her on a practically constant basis (see above), I say go you. Yeah, her ex was big and tough, but it didn't work out with them and it's working with you. He's probably jealous as hell of the guy who's hooking up with his ex instead of him.

Also, this is totally obvious, but you're a fun, interesting, creative, exciting person, and Chelsea has gotta be thrilled to be with you.

that was very nice of you, but we broke up the other day. our calendars were too conflicting and it was only going to get busier, so we ended it. that was nice of you to say though...
