Drabble:
Quinn’s kisses shock her, each a stabbing pain that ripples through her skin. Hot hands trap her against the wall; blonde hair bathing her skin like sunlight. Emma feels her fingers shoot up to curl in Quinn’s golden locks, breath pounding with the drum of her heartbeat. The force of it all spins and winds through her veins like electricity- like everything she ever wanted and never knew she needed.
“We can’t do this.”
Fingers skim down her back in a blaze of fire to lock their hands tightly. Emma closes her eyes and focuses on Quinn’s grip interspersed with her own; keeping her grounded. She feels so light she could float away, and so trapped she fears being consumed by what this all means.
“You ca- you shouldn’t be here.”
The words leave her in a dizzying rush, Quinn’s lips pressing insistently upon her neck, tongue tracing words and promises they know she could never keep.
“I love you,” Quinn whispers.
“We can’t do this.”
Emma bites her lip to restrain from rushing forward the moment Quinn steps away. Bright eyes blink. Quinn tightens her ponytail. Tricks her red and swollen lips into a sunny smile.
“I know.”
The click of her door shuts like a barrier. In the hallway, Quinn links fingers with Finn and kisses him on the cheek, the pair running and laughing down the corridor. In her office, Emma turns in her chair so nobody can see her tears and question why.

There is no past
Thank God
This moment's not the last
There's only us
There's only this
Forget regret
Or life is yours to miss
No other road no other way
No day but today
Where I go, when I go there
No more weeping anymore-
Only in and out your lips,
The broken wishes, washing with them, to shore...
Touch me-all silent.
Tell me-please-all is forgiven.
Consume my wine
Consume my mind
I'll tell you how, how the winds sigh...
Touch me-just try it.
Now, there-that's it-God, oh that's heaven.
I'll love your light
I'll love you right...
We'll wonder down where the sins cry...
And all I can taste is this moment
And all I can breathe is your life
Cause sooner or later it's over
I just don't want to miss you tonight
And I don't want the world to see me
Cause I don't think that they'd understand
When everything's made to be broken
I just want you to know who I am
It is one desire
burning hot and bright
It could fill up the sky
It could fill me up
worth the trouble
It is brave to feel?
It is brave to be alive?
There's only now
There's only here
Give in to love
Or live in fear
No other path
No other way
No day but today

5th set- Another drabble:
Quinn is sitting across the desk from Emma, hands tightly folded in her lap and head bowed. It strikes her how they had sat just the same when it had all begun, blood blossoming in her cheeks as the words had slipped out her mouth.
“I... I can’t stop thinking about you.”
Emma had smiled slightly to hide her intake of breath, nodding tightly as she handed her a leaflet on ‘inappropriate thoughts and feelings.’ She didn’t miss the way Emma’s eyes had lit up, saying everything she was never able to. The pause when Emma had turned around to grab the leaflet, hand splayed upon her beating heart, as if trapping a bird that begged to break free.
“I know the way you look at me.”
Emma had stopped at that, wide eyes still and shocked.
“It’s okay, I wouldn’t tell. I know...” Quinn had licked her lips. “I know I look at you like that, too.”
“We can’t do this.”
Quinn drags her gaze to Emma, who stares sadly at her.
“You always say that. You said that the first time, too.”
“This isn’t right,” Emma whispers carefully, “I can’t be around you. When I am I can’t control it. It’s like some... drug, or magnet. I’m not in control anymore.”
“You really think you could stay away from me?”
Emma swallows, clutches harder, and lets her fingernails draw bloody moons into her palms like stars torn from the sky.
The pair sits in silence, hazel eyes trained anywhere but the other.
“My house, after school.”
Quinn smiles slightly, and sits back in silence.
When the bell peals, it sounds like a cry of freedom. Quinn moves cordially, fingers brushing the others tentatively on the way out.
“I’ll be there.”
