Kay and Tips in Cebu

I did not have to do a lot of editing for my thesis because I did fewer shots with longer takes, and no special effects, so I just had to piece them together. I wasn't worried therefore, when my friends decided to visit me.
A welcome respite from all the shooting is Kay and Tip's visit. I love this couple, and I'm so glad they're together. I picked them up at Marina Mall and we ate a little and did some window shopping. Then I brought them to my apartment where we were staying for the night. They got settled in, then we left for dinner.
We had seafood kare-kare (among other things) at the Maribago Grill. It was great, because I liked the peanut sauce in kare-kare but didn't like the tuwalya. Substituting it with seafood was genius!
The next day, we moved to the Cebu Beach Club, which had a weekend special. We spent two nights there, and it was just divine. Just lounging at the beach, swimming at the pool and relaxing at the jacuzzi was definitely worth it, plus they had a beachside buffet as well!
After we left the beach (with great sadness) we had lunch at an authentic Japanese restaurant on Mactan Island, which my Japanese friend Mikio recommended. It had a great lunch special, and we were waited on in our own private dining room with the low table and the mats to kneel on. It was just a great experience.
Their last day was spent exploring the city and shopping a bit. I'm glad they came to visit this island paradise I called home for the past year.
