Shooting Rob with his Boys

We shot Rob's thesis during the past two days. It's actually been quite a fun experience. It did have its moments of tension, but Rob keeps calm and carries on, so the cast and crew follow his example. The weather has not been very friendly to us, and it has been quite unpredictable, raining more than a number of times. This led to a number of delays, but we were able to work through them.
We shot around a tiny hut by the sea. It's a very picturesque landscape, but I'm not quite sure if it will resemble Cambodia very much. We had to forego the wide expanses of ricefields and opted for more jungle battles. The actors were also quite interesting to say the least. We got high school students from Cebu with no previous acting experience, so it kind of caused some difficulties, especially for Rob. One of them was very cute, but sadly could not act at all. I thought of introducing myself to him, but I thought it best not to. I left it at that, which is all for the best anyway, I guess.
I was most satisfied with the costumes that JV and I helped procure, as well as the airguns. The guys from the airgun club were very nice and chill, and we drank by the sea after the whole shoot. It was a great experience and I saw the characteristics that makes Cebuanos what they are: relaxed, fun loving people who just love drinking by the sea.
