Baguio with Macri

Oct 29, 2008 10:15

Macri and I have been preparing for our trip in Baguio, so we decided to do it this termbreak (also sembreak in UP, as she had just started taking up Law.) I stayed over for a couple of hours at Macri's house. Her high school friend, Mia, who is studying to be a doctor, is going with us as well. We played with her Veet, and veeted a heart at the back of my head. Then we took a quick nap before leaving at midnight for the bus to Baguio.

We arrived in Baguio later that morning. At our first inn, there was this HUGE black chow chow. It was very cute, but seemed capable of disemboweling us in one fell swoop. After settling down, we had breakfast at Zola, along Session Road. Then came a tireless four days in Baguio. It was nice and soothing to be there, as opposed to the other inn, which was downtown.

We went to the 50's diner, Mines View Park, and the nearby Good Shepherd Convent (which sold Angel cookies), SM Baguio, the Manor, The Steakhouse, and Cafe by the Ruins, to name a few. I even had a little time to visit Kabu and Pet (who is now Malaya) in Kidlat Tahimik's house (or compound of houses) in Tuding. They look very happy together, and I'm really glad for them.

It was a sad and foggy day when we left for Baguio; Four days clearly wasn't enough. Oh well, we will be back...

friends, vacations, travels, baguio
