Macri Visits

Macri came by to "bless" my new room. It felt pretty cozy and neat, and it was nice to hang out with her as a pre-birthday treat. She brought white oreos and green tea ice cream. We talked about her current job as an English trainer at a call center, and the guys who have started courting her. I talked about work and school, although truth be told, I have not been going to school the past couple of weeks.

I failed to mention to her that I have started smoking. I guess I didn't want to shame her. I don't know why I started smoking. I guess it was to get back at my mom for not paying me back for my thesis. The only thing is that Mom doesn't even know that I've started.

Once I realized that Mom wouldn't be able to pay back her loans to me, and Dad was in no position to help me out, I guess I felt like I needed to act out. I went back home, expecting to finally finish college. Instead, my parents only proved how disappointing they were. Finding no other reason, I started cutting classes. If I get lucky, I get my first 5.0 this semester.

But tonight was not about frustrations. Tonight was a fun night with Macri.

We had dinner at Teriyaki Boy. It was raining outside. It was pleasant being with Macri. She is the calm that my life so sorely needs.
