Beast Airlines Chapter 3
Being a coward was not what Doojoon was accustomed to, but he couldn’t help but wipe his sweaty palms on the stiff black ironed stiff pants, and to take a deep breath in and to wish to just run away from the stiff atmosphere of his company building.
“Mr Yoon Doojoon?”
His head snapped up at that term (it wasn’t often that he was called that, mostly it was ‘yah, hyung’ from Junhyung) and he stared with wide eyes at the girl who had called out to him - a rather young girl, wearing a long dress, light make up, hair let loose. Yoon Doojoon took in the stockings and Mary Jane pumps, gulped once more, and then stood up.
“Yes, is my father ready to see me?”
The girl immediately looked offended, as if Doojoon was wrong to refer to her as the secretary (wasn’t she?), and she stiffly looked away.
“I do not know… Your father was the one who called me here to meet you.”
Inwardly berating himself at the mix up between her and the office lady, Doojoon turned to the side to stare at the wall, covered (or rather, wallpapered) by certificate after certificate, acknowledgement after acknowledgement. He could hardly even see the blue paint underneath all the pieces of paper.
“Junior Yoon and Ms Yuri, please, the director will see you now.”
This time round, a girl wearing an office suit with her hair tightly bunned (her accent was weird, but then again this was Singapore) up poked her head into the waiting room and gestured for the both of them to enter.
Doojoon swallowed.
-
“Doojoon, this is Yuri. She is your fiancé, and future wife.”
The silence was so thick that Doojoon could barely find air to take in. Yuri turned to him, offering a million watt smile, so fake and so prim that all he wanted to do was to smear her bright pink lip stick all over the floor. Yoseob’s smile was bright yes, big yes, but fake? No. Turning to her, he offered a smile as fake and as insincere as her smile to her, before turning back to his father, allowing a grim smile to slip across his face.
“Appa, you do know that I’m gay right?”
Ignoring the scandalized gasp to his right, Doojoong turned towards his father and glared right back into the deep set eyes - Doojoon knows that they share the same set of chilling eyes, cold, angry and upset but then he doesn't really care because Yoseob is waiting for him in their hotel room and after this, all he wants to do is to just go back and snuggle into bed with him.
"A-ahjusshi? W-what is this?"
"Ms. Yuri, it seems that this was a bad time. I apologise, but would prefer if you could keep this to yourself, Doojoon here will marry you. He just has his moments of outright rebellion."
Silence greets this sentence, before the girl huffs and turns, but not before offering DIrector Seunghyun a simpering smile.
"I will, indeed keep it to myself and not tell my father."
With a swish of her dress, she turns, fishing out her cellphone. After a few moments of tense silence between father and son, Seunghyun sighed and brought up a hand to his temple, lightly massaging. His bleached whitish hair caught onto the sunlight and Doojoon winced at the light reflecting off it, before lowering his head.
"Sorry, appa, but really, can't you see that I don't want to marry anyone else but the guy I'm dating now?"
"Go, I don't want to talk about this to you now."
Worrying at his bottom lip, Doojoon nodded lightly and turned, heading out of the office.
-
"He's growing up to be just like us, Seungie." Another figure crawls out from underneath the table and grins up at the taller, charismatic man, before throwing his arms around him.
"Too much like us, Jiyong-ah. Anyway, no one knows that the head of Big Bang Records is gay, and is happily married with a guy so..."
"Well, you adopted Doojoon when he was 19, and never told him you were gay, so suck it up. It was your fault for not telling him when we just got him~ Singaporeans here like to say monkey see monkey do, so I guess, like father like son would be appropriate here. I mean, Doojoon only found out he was gay after we took our bedroom business which was supposed to stay in the bedroom," Jiyong glared at Seunghyun for a few moments, before the taller shuffled over to his ‘wife’ and wrapped big arms around him, “-took it and then brought it to the coach, and Doojoon’s probably never gonna sit on that sexy piece of leather furniture ever again.”
Shrugging, Kwon Jiyong freed himself from Seunghyun’s grasp and then plopped himself into the huge office chair staring out into the tall office buildings surrounding them. The Singapore Flyer stood out huge, and Jiyong smiled.
"Say dear, wanna go out for some chilli crab?"
-
Junhyung groaned and turned around in the bed, sighing when his heated forehead rubbed against the cool sheets. He had woken up after the flight earlier that day, Hyunseung curled still securely in his arms, and then apparently he had caught Hyunseung's illness so as a form of apology the flight stewardess and his manager had brought them to the nearest hotel (the most expensive hotel too) to rest up before his big concert a month later. Hyunseung was resting in the room next to him, and Junhyung was irritated. Maybe he was irritated because of the heat, maybe not, but all he knew was that he wanted the lithe stewardess’s body heat next to him right now. It was comfortable heat, and in his delirious state Junhyung couldn’t really think straight.
Not knowing whether the fever had affected his head or not, he crawled off the bed, slipped into the slippers by his bed, grey sweats dragging on the ground, slung low on his hips, loose wife beater crumpled and creased after a whole day of resting. Sleep still clung to his face, apparent in the way his eyes were barely visible, the way his cheeks puffed, and the way he kept bringing up a hand to wipe away any sticky mixture running from his nose.
Junhyung slipped (or rather stumbled, but Junhyung would protest against the use of stumbled because he is a star, and stars never stumble) into the room next door, scrambling clumsily into bed with Hyunseung, and then wrapped the thin (and still burning) air stewardess into his arms, snuggling the other's head underneath his chin. Hyunseung’s brown hair tickled his chest, but then again, it was comforting after sleeping like that yesterday(or rather today morning).
And Junhyung couldn't resist but to press a light kiss to the other's smooth forehead, the hand that was around Hyunseung rubbing at his bare arm lightly.
-
There was warm heat next to him, and when Hyunseung was asleep, he tended to cling to things that made him feel good. So he clung harder and tighter, the something around him tightening in response. He continued refusing to wake up though, afraid that once he woke up the comfortable thing beside him (all around him) would disappear.
But when he did wake up, eyes blinking blearily open, what he saw a few centimetres just in front of him made him smile, snuggle even closer (as if that was possible, both of them were already so close even a piece of tissue wouldn’t be able to wriggle it’s way through), bury his head into Junhyung’s collarbone and fall right back into very comfortable sleep.
After all, it wasn't very often that he had a handsome, barely clothed heater next to him.
-
Doojoon stepped into his and Yoseob's shared hotel room, spotting the manager, curled up on his side, resting from their plane ride and he sighed, pulling at the tie around his neck loose.
Yoseob had tied it for him because he was hopeless at ties and bowties and stuff like that. Throwing it onto wherever (because he was tired and didn't care where it landed), he took a few steps forward to slide into bed with the manager, spooning around him and then Doojoon wrapped a firm arm around his slim waist, sighing in contentment. His eyes slid shut and he pressed his lips to Yoseob’s shoulder.
"I'm guessing the meeting with your father didn't go well?"
The thin murmur had his eyes opening, and then he felt Yoseob shift infinitesimally against him. He merely grunted in reply, before snuggling his face further into Yoseob's warm skin, where comforting darkness and the smell of Yoseob, Yoseob and Yoseob greeted him.
The said boy merely hummed and twisted a hand back to pet at Doojoon’s still gelled stiff hair.
-
Since they were all rooming together now (technically it was Hyunseung-Junhyung (Junhyung flat out refused to sleep alone by himself after that claiming that being alone was scary) and Yoseob-Doojoon, but since it was Hyunseung’s granddad who was paying…), it had become some sort of unspoken rule that they would do everything together - eating meals, exploring around Singapore, taking tourist photos they would never admit to taking...
Well, the first time they ate Singapore's signature dish in the evening after a whole day of lazing in bed - was it the chilli crab? Yes it was the chilli crab, Junhyung had managed to slice his forefinger open with a pincer, and it allowed Yoseob and Hyunseung to see just how much his persona on stage was real and how much was not(almost everything was fake). They got to see the relationship between Doojoon and Junhyung - how Doojoon really was like the father babying his son (a rather vulgar son, but still a son) who just fell off his bike ("I'm serious! It hurts fucking badly!" and "Oh, don't be such a baby, come on, I'll give you a kissy wissy.")
That meal ended up with Yoseob unable to stomach anything because he laughed too much, curled up on the hawker centre's plastic blue chair and Hyunseung thinking that he was going to get a permanent smile.
Then there was waking up at what, six in the morning to eat some kind of Malay noodles (Yoseob pronounces it as Me Leebus, Junhyung just calls it annoying conceited thing, "I mean, who would call it Me Leebus? How conceited.", because to him, nothing is more important than sleeping.) When they got there it was eight, and then they found out that the store didn't open on Tuesday, much to Junhyung's disgust, and Yoseob's embarrassment. Hyunseung and Doojoon merely trailed behind, half asleep, not really awake, batting away at the sunlight that blinded them.
They went to all the famous places in Singapore, rode on the Singapore Flyer, where many fangirls were there. Had fun in the Marina Barrage (Junhyung was tempted to push both Doojoon and Yoseob into the water for making out in front of a group of young kids), then went to shop at (Doojoon calls it Bug-ish Shtreet) Bugis Street.
And it was there that they squeezed in with a whole lot of people for something that caught Hyunseung's eye (a red leather jacket that was faux).
Laksa, a local foodfare was for lunch, and they all rather enjoyed it because there was a girl's school nearby and the school had just ended. Hyunseung would pout whenever a girl would flutter her hands at Junhyung and try to greet him in their clumsy awkward Korean, and then pout even more when the normally charismatic star would smile shyly and then bow.
-
"Hey come on, I wanna see Singapore's city line from the Singapore Flyer."
Junhyung wrapped a secure arm around Hyunseung's waist, and pulled him away from the crowd pushing at them(there were lots and lots of tourists, and many of them towered over them because they were Caucasians and Asians were small ass people), and Hyunseung grunted, startled. His hands immediately came up to hook at Junhyung’s belt loops. Yoseob didn’t miss the shy smile that spread the Siri airlines heir’s face.
-
A few moments later, they were all seated in the carriage, Yoseob and Doojoon taking one side of the carriage, snuggling (cough, kissing, fornicating with clothes on) just beside the window, and Junhyung had to really thank the fact that it was only the four of them in one carriage, because he wasn’t sure how he was going to live with people staring and gaping at the two oblivious people there.
Sighing, Junhyung turned and wrapped an arm around Hyunseung(a very natural thing for him to do now), twisting them both around to face the outside lights.
Their hands entwined around Hyunseung’s waist, and then it seemed natural for their faces to follow, to turn and then for their lips to meet too. It was simple - a simple press of their lips, no tongues or french kiss or anything. It was pure, whole, and when they did pull back, both their faces were flushed, not from too much rigorous activity like the said couple opposite them, but from the exhilaration of actually kissing, of actually daring to let their lips touch.
And they were content.
-
"Hyung, come on, I wanna go out."
Dongwoon tugged at Kikwang's sock clad feet, groaning when Kikwang managed to kick at him.
"Go away, I want to sleep. And besides, my parents had me handle Yoseob's complaint about that Ms Lee saying that I needed to learn out to deal with these kind of stuff even though I didn't want to, cause she was scary, and then she was begging all over the place. She still had the audacity to ask me to let her keep her position!"
A pout followed his rant, and then Dongwoon was crawling up the bed to hover over Gikwang, pressing light kisses to his forehead.
"Come on, man up. I'll get you ice cream before going off to the airport, how about it?"
At that, Kikwang's eyes widened and he immediately pushed Dongwoon off to go towards his closet.
"Ice cream, I like the sound of that! Oh right talking about airports; is Hyunseung hyung and Yoseob hyung back in Korea from the flight?" Kikwang wrinkles his nose. "And why do we need to go to the airport?"
Dongwoon grinned, before sliding onto the bed beside his boyfriend. "Nah, Yoseob hyung just told me that Yong Junhyung - the singer invited them to his Singapore concert and that they'll be changing the flight that they're serving on to go and watch Hyunseung's boyfriend's concert," Dongwoon sniggered at that. "And then he asked if we wanted to go."
Kikwang's eyes really couldn't get any wider than that.
"And did you say yes?"
Dongwoon could only shrug and hold out the two plane tickets he held in his hands.
-
"Oh my gosh, we're in Singapore! And we're gonna see the Yong Junhyung!"
"...You're never that excited when I'm with you..."
"Oh suck it up boy, and get a move on!"
"...Fine, pushy person."
