The Long Awaited Review...
Hey, I read only average speed, and really get to read 15 minutes or less a day...
That said, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
It's pretty dumb. I expected as much. I read the original right before I read it, which helped appreciate what was done here. Pretty much the book was left intact except zombies were added, and not always very well. The movie would actually be better than the book. That said, hey, I bothered to finish it. It wasn't boring. I laughed out loud here and there. The best part was the questions for discussion at the end.
I do think that there is a place for this book. I would highly recommend it as a way to get a boy to read Jane Austen. All of the integrity of the book is in fact intact, but it has these zombies. Let's face it, without zombies its not exactly a book that the guys are into. And it was pretty damned funny when Elizabeth beat up Mr. Darcy for having the nerve to propose to her...
